Environmental Committees

Environmental committees provide expertise and leadership on Edmonton's green front.

The Environmental Advisory Committee (EAC) consists of various Edmonton citizens as well as key stakeholders in environmental issues within the region. The group identifies and provides public input on environmental strategies and initiatives.

The Environmental Policy Leadership Committee (EPLC) consists of City branch managers and representatives from City-related corporations such as EPCOR. Members deal with City environmental policies and strategies.

The Renewable Energy Task Force is examining the opportunities, barriers and potential technical, economic, and policy solutions to the generation and use of renewable energy in Edmonton.

The Green Building Strategy Task Force is developing a strategy for all commercial, industrial, institutional, mixed-use, multi-family residential and single family residential buildings in Edmonton.
